Five Secrets for an Ever Lasting Love

It is commonly claimed that half of all marriages in the United States eventually end in divorce, an estimate possibly based on the fact that in any given year, the number of marriages is about twice the number of divorces, In order to avoid that kind of situation here, experts identify the keys to happy, healthy relationship because this is not just for the marriage couple but to all the non marriage couple out there who wants to keep the relationship stay and last forever.

This week, try one of these surprisingly simple tips everyday. Keep the effort up, relationship needs to be nurtured, researchers say, and you will build a happier relationship.

1. Have realistic expectations - "Frustration is the main reason why partners are unhappy, and it occurs when you don't have realistic expectations about your partner or about relationship" says Terri Orbuch, author of the new book 5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage From Good to Great. "Unrealistic expectations rarely get met and then cause you anger, sadness, hurt and other negative emotions".

2. Sweat the small stuff -  If it drives you crazy that your husband puts the dishes in the sink every night rather than int he dishwasher, don't just shrug it off. Tell him that it bothers you, Orbuch says. "If you don't address  the seemingly meaningless little things that bother you about your spouse, what happens is that those things build up over time and become bigger underlying issues that are much more difficult to resolve. You start thinking, "He doesn't respect me" or "We don't communicate"

3. Consider yourselves a team - With two-income homes the norm and 30% of wives earning more than their husbands, the happiest couples have let go of outdated gender roles and responsibilities, says Jacqueline Del Rosario, a marriage councelor of Miami. "Couples really need to see themselves as equal partners.

4. Accentuate the positive -  Focus on what's going right in your relationship and build on those things, rather than dwelling on problems, Orbuch advices. "The happiest couples can identify what's already going well and then find ways to add more of these positive elements to their lives". Maybe it's a shared love of cooking, or tennis. Whatever you do together that makes you happy and connected, make it priority.

5. Remember the little things - "The degree to which you can regularly make your partner feel special is a significant factor in how happy your marriage will be," Orbuch says. Simple comments and gestures - coffee in bed? - may be even more important for husband to receive, she says "In our study, the men who said their wives regularly made them feel special and cared for were significantly happier in their marriages".

To sum it all up:"The truth is that no one knows what's really going on in a relationship except the two people in it. That gives each of us the freedom to write our own rules based on our own emotional needs".

Happy Birthday America

It was July 4, 1976 exactly 237 years ago when the continental congress adopted the statement "DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE" which is the announcing of the then at war with Great Britain are the 13 American Colonies such as Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts Bay, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island and Providence Plantations,  were no longer part of British Empire for they formed a union that would become a new nation which is the United States of America. Indeed as it has been long declared 4th of July is when the democracy of America was born.

It has been celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It was ought to commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It was ought to  solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, since then till forward.

Spider Gets Viral

Spiders are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs and chelicerae with fangs that inject venom. They are the largest order of arachnids and rank seventh in total species diversity among all other groups of organisms. Spiders are found worldwide on every continent except for Antarctica.

There are many thousand different kinds of spiders. All spiders have eight legs. Most spiders have eight eyes but some have fewer than eight. They don't have ears, they feel the sound vibrations with tiny hairs on their legs. Their bodies have two parts, the head and the abdomen. The abdomen is plump. Spider blood is light blue. Blood fills up all the empty space in the spider's body, it helps to keep the legs stiff so the spider can walk. Spiders breathe, too. As spiders grow, they molt. That means they shed their old skin and grow a new one. They molt many times before they become adults. Many spiders live for only one year but some, like tarantulas can live much longer. Spiders come in different sizes. Some are fuzzy and others are smooth, and they come in many different colors. Spiders live in many different kinds of places, water, gardens, houses, and the ground. They live where it is hot and where it is cold. They live where it is wet and where it is dry. Some are poisonous and others are not. They all eat insects and some other animals.

But , here’s a funny (at least for me it’s funny & cute) story about the spider that gets viral in the internet world lately and I can’t help but share it..

Hope you enjoy watching!!

17 Ways to Crank Up Your Sexual Energy

Bringing your erotic side to the surface when you're out of bed is the key to being more turned on when you do go skin-to-skin.Here, 17 ways to unleash it.- by Anna Davies-

 1. Do your makeup and hair sans clothing. Some good naked time gets you in tune with your body first thing, so you're more aware of the sensations you feel throughout the next 12 hours.

2. Put on a racy bra-and-pantie set to wear to work. Knowing you have a sexy secret switches on the sultry side of your brain.

3. Spray on a perfume you usually wear when you go out with your guy (scent is connected to emotions, so a whiff can bring back memories of hot nights with him).

4. Wear your hair down. Feeling the strands against your face puts you in a more flirtatious than when your hair is pulled into a low-key pony.

5. Have a lust-packed lunch. Magnesium is a lust boosting nutrient; find it in basil, spinach and chocolate.

6. Get a quickie massage at the nail salon. It'll prime your skin for bliss.

7. Listen to an erotic podcast. Hearing sex describe releases a cocktail of hormones in the brain, causing your libido to sky rocket.

8. They may seem like a cheesy office-grab-bag gift, but get one of those wire head massage tools. The scalp is an erogenous zone, so indulge in a scratch session.

9. Stretch yourself-yoga can ignite your sex drive. A pose to try:the Bound Angle. While setting on the ground, place the soles of your feet together, rest your hands on your ankles, lean forward and allow your knees to drop. It opens your hips and gets you focusing on your nether direction.

10. Take a bath using cucumber-scented gel- the scent is aphrodisiac.

11. Steal one of his already-worn sweat -shirts and wear it to and from the gym or just bumming around the house. Research  found that just a whiff of his sweat may rev up arousal.

12. Take a spinning class. Sit in thr front, and really go for it-competition raises testosterone in women, meaning you'll be more than ready for a sweaty romp in the sack later.

13 Sport a red cami under a blazer, spring for a pair of cherry-colored skinnies, or get a crimson pedi. According to research, wearing crimson hue can make you feel foxier.

14. While putting on hand cream, press the point on your wrist just below your pinkie for 30 seconds or so. In acupressure, this spot is linked to sexual response.

15. When you get home, light scented candles and have a glass of red wine. Not only does giving your room a lounge-y look add to the atmosphere, but some studies show that the vino may increase blood flow, which would include to the below-the-belt region.

16. While you're at it, order a spicy dish, like thai or Indian, for dinner-another delicious way to get even more in the mood.

17. Sleep nude. To be even more aware of your body, turn off the airconditioner, open the windows, and feel the breeze on your skin..

Thanks for Cosmo, reading magazine really inspires and helps me in (fashion, personality, career, sex issues and more).  and ohhh... FYI even talking about sex can turn you on;)

Confession of a Sociopath

Sociopathy in common usage, refers to condition similar to or synonymous with the conditions of Psychopathy, Antisocial Personality Disorder & Dissocial Personality Disorder.

Psychopathy is a personality or mental disorder characterized partly by antisocial behavior, a diminished capacity of remorse and poor behavioral controls.

Antisocial Personality Disorder however, is characterized by a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others that begins in childhood or early adolescence that continues into adulthood.

Dissocial Personality Disorder on the other hand is defined as a conceptually similar disorder to Antisocial personality disorder.

As i was reading an article of Diagnosed sociopath M.E. Thomas is an author, law professor and founder of, i can't help but wanted to share it, i was surprise and horrified with the confession's, Bless there heart my prayer's are for them, here's what i read:

She's a successful law professor and a Sunday school teacher, with a host of family and friends. But there interpersonal calculus centers on how to manipulate and outmaneuver the many people in her life. Welcome to a world of ruthless cost-benefit analysis, charm and grandiosity.

I have never killed anyone, but i have certainly wanted to. I may have disorder, but i am not crazy. In a world filled with gloomy, mediocre nothings populating a go-nowhere rat race, people are attracted to my exceptionalism like months to a flame. This is my story.

Once while visiting Washington, D.C., I used an escalator that was closed, and a Metro worker tried to shame me about it.

Him: "Didn't you see the yellow gate?"
Me: "Yellow gate?"
Him: "I just put the gate up, and you were supposed to walk around it!"
Me: [Silence. My face was blank.]
Him: "That's trespassing! It's wrong to trespass! The escalator is closed, you broke the law!"
Me: [I stare at him silently.]
Him: [Visibly rattled by my lack of reaction] "Well, next time, you don't trespass okay?"

It was not okay. In explaining their horrible actions, people often say that they "just snapped." I know that feeling. I stood there for a moment, letting my rage reach that decision-making part of my brain, and i suddenly became filled with a sense of calm purpose. I blinked my eyes and set my jaw. I started following him. Adrenaline started flowing; my mouth tasted metallic. I fought to keep my peripheral vision in focus, hyperaware of everything around me, trying to predict the movement of the crowd. I was hoping that he would walk into a deserted hallway where i would find him alone. I felt so sure of myself, so focused on this one thing I had to do. An image sprang to mind: my hands wrapped around his neck, my thumbs digging deep into his throat, his life slipping away under my unrelenting grasp. How right that would feel. But i know I had been in a megalomaniacal fantasy. And in the end it didn't matter; I lost sight of him.

Mosquitoes a Blood Sucking Vampire

This summer, a mosquito bite maybe a lot worse than annoying. Thanks in part of Climate change helping this bugs breed among us in record numbers. Their itchy, irritating bites and nearly ubiquitous presence can ruin a backyard barbecue or a hike in the woods. They have an uncanny ability to sense our murderous intentions, taking flight and disappearing milliseconds before a fatal swat.
Beyond the nuisance factor, mosquitoes are carriers, or vectors, for some of humanity’s most deadly illnesses, and they are public enemy number one in the fight against global infectious disease, the disease that cause millions of  death world wide every year. Here's a look at four diseases that mosquitoes been spreading and that's going viral:

1. Dengue Fever or some called it the "breakbone" fever because it can cause severe joint pain, dengue comes with high fever and headaches, eye pain, rashes and bleeding

2. West Nile - It comes with high fever, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, convulsions, muscle aches rash and vision loss. Worst thing will happen is that the neurological effects may be permanent.

3. Chikungunya - It has been spreading in Italy and France and will probably come soon to the East Coast, chikungunya causes debilitating fever, headache, fatigue, vomiting, muscle pain, rash and joint pain.

4. Rift Valley Fever - It bring s fever, headache, muscle pain, dizziness, vision loss, and encephalitis (inflamation of the brain, which can lead to coma and seizures).

Prevention primarily means buying fitted screens for your windows and doors, cleaning the surroundings and stocking up on DEET.

Body Odor

Body Odor is not exactly a topic of polite conversation, but it doesn't have to be. If you got it, you know it. You probably eager to get rid of it.

In some cultures and countries, intense body odor is considered to be a desirable characteristic, signifying sexual attractiveness and potency.

Body odor begins with sweat. The body has two types of sweat glands, both of which produce sweat that is made up largely of water. The eccrine glands, which are located on almost every part of the body and the apocrine glands which are located in the armpits, around the nipples and in the groin produce sweat whose function is unclear, it contains a substantial amount of oil, which provides food for bacteria. It's this bacterial feeding frenzy that causes unwelcome odor.

Here are 5 deodorizing tips that may help:

* Wash problem areas frequently - at least once a day.
* Wash your clothing after each wearing.
* Try a deodorant. If that doesn't seem to eliminate the problem, buy some antiperspirant.
* If antiperspirants and deodorants irritate your skin, try using an antibacterial soap, antibiotic ointment, baking soda or talcum powder.
* Eliminate sweat-and-odor producing foods from your diet such as spicy food etc..

Infant Eczema

I was horrified when i first saw my baby's face filled with  red bumps that look like pimples its on his cheeks, forehead and temples, i went to the doctor right away when i found it get worst it covers all over his face, but the doctor said its eczema and there is no treatment  needed for infant eczema, it will come and go, just wash it with water two or three time daily, pat it dry, and it will clear within a few weeks or month.
True enough it clears up within a few weeks, but it did came back a month after and it was bigger this time and it tends to get worst when his fussy or crying or maybe his fussy and crying because its itchy i can tell it is itchy he keep scratching his face and his stomach this time its covers his body too and it looks so alarming and then again i went to his doctor and ask if there's anything we can do about it because he can't no longer sleep good.

Finally the doctor gave us prescription it was 1% hydrocortisone (Aveeno) and advise us not to gave baby a bath everyday for the soap can make his skin dries up even of its a baby soap and so i did and finally its clears up although sometimes the roughness is still there.

I learned that the reason for that is the mothers hormones  that still circulating in the baby's system and also the pores of newborns aren't completely develop, making them easy targets for infiltration by dirt and the resultant blossoming of blemishes.

Pregnancy and Risk

My journey to motherhood was an overwhelming feeling yet scary, good thing i doesn't have morning sickness, craving and aversions as people keep on asking me about, or not yet:) i just enjoyed my pregnancy ate right, sleep right, periodic visit of my ob gynecologist & trying to stay fit. Sounds easy isn't it?:)

But not until my second trimester that i have to get up from bed so late at night and again too early in the morning to just to pee (frequent urination), my tummy gets bigger and gets tighter and noticeably heavy that i can feel the real pregnancy (As much as i want to share my before and after baby bump pictures, id decided not to even i think its cute but it might be looks gross for some!!:)), this time the gender of the baby is being revealed and yes, we have a baby boy on his way, and i can already feel his kicks God knows how those little kicks makes me happy, although i am still grateful i haven't had those morning sickness, nauseous or any of those crazy cravings like asking for a sweet salt!!! lol

Third Trimester is indeed a very remarkable experience to me, all the emotions, discomforts specially swelling,  baby's kicking is getting harder and it hurts, heartburn and indigestion & contractions., added to it was my being anxious about where will i gave birth, i was live in Cebu at that time because my work was there but most of my Family are in Davao yet i am in Manila for my embassy interview and was hoping to get the visa before my due.

All are being cleared out during the 8th month when finally im already here in the US that i know i will deliver my baby here but one thing i didn't know and anticipate is the possibility of the pre-eclampsia, even though i remember my OB Gynecologist in Cebu mentioned it to me but i didn't bother to study and think about it that much because i was thinking i was healthy and as long as i ate good and watch my diet and follow doctors advises i will be ok but the truth is its not and pregnant woman should not ignore it for it can lead to organ failure and death..

Here's what i learn about pre-eclampsia:

Preeclampsia is an abnormal pregnancy condition characterized by high blood pressure. This condition also can include protein in the urine and swelling. Lack of treatment can lead to organ failure and death. The only cure for this condition is delivery of the child.

Preeclampsia occurs when a pregnant woman has high blood pressure and protein in her urine at any point after her 20th week of pregnancy. This condition is also called toxemia or pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH). It only occurs during pregnancy, although in some cases, it can occur earlier than the 20th week.

That is what happen to me and the reason why my OB Gynecologist advice me to have me induce and deliver my baby right after she check me up. Now my baby and i are both healthy even i deliver him 3 weeks earlier than his due.

Soda Vs. Water

I couldn't help but notice about how much Americans drink soda, i was surprise some people drink soda as if it is water. Sure, soda tastes good but water is good for our health "people need to drink water", here's a simple comparison people should understand.

Drinking Carbonated soda alone do not contain any beneficial nutrients in our body but contribute excessive calories and sugar to our diet.

1.) It can lead to dehydration for caffeine is a natural diuretic and causes our body to excrete through urine, people may suffer from the effects of dehydration like thirsty and even fatigue.

2.) It can also contribute to tooth decay and dental cavities for sweet and sugary beverages coat your tongue, teeth & gums after drinking soda's.

3.) It may cause of gaining weight for it contains an alarming amount of sugar, calories and harmful additives

While drinking water has the opposite effect

1.) Drinking water keeps you fully hydrated so you can drink it working out sweating or playing under the sun.

2.) Water is fluoridated that helps strengthen our teeth this is why water does not contribute dental decay.

3.) Water is calorie free, you can drink as much as you want without worrying about gaining weight

The Proposal

Looking back during my then boyfriend and now my husband's proposal, i remember i was writing about the NO proposal policy during my first meeting with him so there we go, we did it "no proposal" and we enjoyed our moment together. So as he left from the Philippines, we continue sending messages to each other from Philippines Airport to the place where he get his connecting flight going back home to Tennessee and so when he get home we talk with video again the way we use to be before he came to the Philippines and then i let him rest because i am sure he was so tired and exhausted from the 2 days flight, but before he said bye for now take a rest, he told me that he wants to say something that is very important and so i listen... and guess what is it????? charaaaannn!!!!! "Aloha, before i left from the Philippines, i already have decided, i want to marry you, i shouldn't have ask you this here (online) but i don't want to waste and wait more time to be with you again & hope forever, now i ask you WILL YOU MARRY ME???".

For those people who personally know me can already see the big smile on my face while i was saying YES, I WILL and so yes that's what i did!!! and Richard with all his smile too was so excited, i am his FIANCE now! so my status (including updating facebook.. lol) was upgraded from in relationship to ENGAGED isn't that sounds so good? a lot of my friends and family were so happy, at 32 i finally settled and get married.

Changing Life

From a workaholic & independent single Lady to a full time mom & housewife, how about that? and yes, its a very big change in my life and to be honest its not that easy to do than i thought it would be although, i can say that this is a good change in my life for there is no way i can be happy to be alone for the rest of my life and definitely i am happy with  my decision.

Thinking about my life in the past before i get married, i live alone in a rented room, wash my own clothes when needed, work for an average of 10 hours a day 6 days a week, go shopping, eat out, treat my nephew and be with my brother's family (the only family live near me), party and going to the gym sometimes for my belly dancing lesson..

and how my life now since i get married and have a baby are, wake up at 5:30 in the morning or 6:00, prepare breakfast for my baby and hubby and feed my baby then send hubby to work make sure things  are all set clothes are clean, thing are complete from cellphone, eye glasses, car keys and other keys for work, I.D. etc... play with my baby and surf in the computer and listen music, watch tv, gave baby a bath, watch his favorite movies and send him to bed for a morning nap, cook for our food for lunch, take a bath and baby wakes up feed him again while i ate at the same time and play with him again, surf, do some exercise whenever i feel like it, text hubby sometimes just to say i miss him, change baby's diaper whenever needed and send him to bed for afternoon nap, prepare food to cook for dinner and play with baby again when wake up while waiting for hubby to get home, cook for dinner, eat, go for a walk with baby and hubby if the weather is good then play with baby again send to bed and me surf again or watch movie with hubby or just spend time with him chat etc before bed.... sometimes go shopping with hubby and baby or visit friends and family or eat out, go to church during week ends... now i think thats a lot of change  and i love it!!!

Things happends fast in the US

I remember in the seminar & counseling i attended in Cebu for my CFO (Commission on Filipino Overseas) Certificate, they said that things are fast in the US!! now i can say, yes that is true here's the instances:

I got here January 12, 2012 my fiancee toke me to the nice places and nice restaurants and introduce me to his family and so on so forth, five days after i arrive and do all those things i mentioned, we went to the clerk of court to apply for marriage license, 20 minutes after we get there, the clerk hand us our marriage license (no queue so when we get there the clerk attend to us right away and ask for my fiance and mine's passport/id and the payment and talk to us for a few minutes) and when my then fiance ask the name of the judge he know, the clerk then said yes he is at the next building and if you want to get married right away, you can so it and guess what???? we did get married right there and then, now tell me if that is not FAST?! oh, and here's more when we get to the judge office, again no queue so he attend to us right away and talk for 5 minutes and then he lead us to the room and ask if we have our ring with us (good thing we just bought our ring at that day so we have it with us too) we said yes and we took it out of the case (still the price tag on it) and in no time, we are MR & MRS!!!

Here's another, the next day that January 13th hubby decided to call the insurance company and his employer to include me to his insurance beneficiary and they just asked for our marriage certificate and walaahhh!!! again in no time they confirmed im already in his insurance beneficiary!!! so, that means no problem for my delivery or any hospital expenses when due (i was 8 mos prego when i get here)...

Here's another more, February 1st is my 1st OB-gynecologist visit here in the US, so we went there for a suppose to be just a wellness check up but when the doctor came and do her normal routine check up, she noticed that the result of my blood pressure is high and she said she's affraid im gonna have pre-ecclamsia during my labor if we will wait for the baby's due date and she will send us to the hospital and induce my labor in that particular day, so to make the story short, yes i had a baby 2 o'clock early in the morning the next day, my baby is ahead 3 weeks his due but doctor said nothing to worry 3 weeks ahead of due the baby is already full term developed.

So, that's what it is and there's some more happen but no longer surprise me for i know and prove it myself that things happen FAST in the US!!

Benefits in breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is known to provide numerous benefits to babies, including protection from diseases ranging from asthma to diabetes although a nursing mother's milk does not normally came in before the fourth or fifth day after birth, but don't give up just yet letting your baby latch even she/he can't get milk for breastfeeding can be challenging and sometimes tricky at first, but its usually gets much better and easier once mom and baby learn the ropes, and believe me mom and baby will both enjoy the benefits out of it.

here's the picture of a healthy happy baby of mine, make it possible to your baby too

Baby who is breastfeed does receive colostrum, a thin, yellowish fluid containing proteins and antibodies that protect the her from infection and illness, baby will be healthier not only have fewer fever and colds but reduce the risk of many serious diseases down the line.

Breastfeeding is also economical and convenience, it is free and is always in stock, ready to use, clean and consistently at the perfect temperature.  its the ultimate convenience food. Nothing to worry about the last minute dashes to the store for formula or having to warm it up and scrub bottles.

Research in the journal Pediatrics shows that breastfeed infants are less likely to develop fevers in the days after a vaccination of which i personally experience and agree, my son never had fever as a result for vaccination since birth till he turn one for i continue exclusively breastfeeding him until he turned one.

Few months ago i have this unbearable pain in tooth, it is impossible to ignore. It starts out as a tiny twinge. Then it escalates to a dull ache that comes and goes. Before long, it becomes a sharp pain that won't stop.

It was then the kind of pain that is severe and constant and it wakes me up during the night and eventually swelling to the point that i could hardly open my mouth to eat.

We call the doctor but i have to set an appointment to see them and i was so miserable! i have to wait for a week!!! i couldn't bare the pain anymore that even ibuprofen can't help ease the pain so i was reading and searching for any at home remedies to help and here's what i learned:

Clove it - An Ancient and effective home remedy for toothaches, oil of cloves applied to an aching tooth, can immediately numb the pain. Oil of cloves is available over the counter in pharmacies and health-food stores. Follow the direction on the package and apply the oil directly to the tooth, not on the gums for it can burn tender gum tissues.

Compress the swelling - Many times toothaches, especially those cause by abscesses, are accompanied by swelling. You can decrease the swelling by placing a cold compress on the outside of  your cheek near the painful tooth.

Cool it - Ice is excellent for calming pain-excited nerve endings. For a painful tooth, try holding an ice cube or cold water in your mouth. If it aggravates the pain, discontinue it.

Elevate it - When the pain in your teeth is pounding, keep your head upright to decrease the pressure in the area.

Nix the Aspirin - Placing an aspirin directly on an achy tooth is an old home remedy that can make your situation worse. Aspirin doesn't work topically and can burn your gums or cheek tissue. If you want an aspirin remedy, swallow it with a glass of water.

Try warm water - You can never rinse away a dental problem, but rinsing with warm water can help remove any food particles that may be trapped and causing problems. To soothe inflamed tissues, try rinsing with mild saline solution (one teaspoon of salt in eight ounces of water.

Surely it does help me ease the pain although i was sure that my tooth problem has gone away so i still see my doctor, it was my wisdom tooth that grows but my gums doesn't have a place for anymore teeth so it was compressed and did not came out that i can't brush it so it has cavities on it too and since there's no place for a new teeth they have to extract my tooth so the problem will be gone.

Hence, recommend to see your dentist regularly for professional care, much tooth pain can be prevented by a combination of regular home dental hygiene such as flossing and brushing, professional care and eating a diet low in sugar.

Meeting my Mr. Right

Before i meet my Boyfriend in person "since we were in virtual dating" i told him that his coming in the Philippines doesn't mean he will be bound to marry me. I want him to be sure about his feelings towards me as well as mine towards him, because its hard to determine online if the person is telling the truth or not, hard to tell if the person is showing its real personality and characteristic & how the way we handle things together like pressure, anger, etc.. its really different when you actually meet and being with each other for real, so the meeting is all about getting to know each other more, confirming feelings for each other, having fun, enjoy, relax, VACATION... no pressure at all so its a no proposal policy until he get back to the US and take time to think if we really enjoy each others company, if we really love each other, if we really want and need each other.... it is the fairest way i know for the both of us since i don't want to feel obligated too, i was afraid... What if i don't like him when i see him in person... What if i can't feel the magic of love when i meet him and same way  when he meet me... What if we will find out that we don't have a chemistry.... And so, he admit that he think about those things too, so we agreed for the NO proposal policy during this vacation so to give time for each other to think and have the freedom to decide after meeting its not bad to be cautious anyway:) i know finding the right one is not that easy, specially when the wrong person seems like the right one.

So, as he arrived in Cebu and i meet him at the airport and as i see him approaching to the exit gate i can already feel my heart beat faster then i waved at him and smile and say hi welcome ! he smile back at me and hugged me tight at that time i was thinking this is it i can feel it (lol) and as the days go by the feeling is mutual, we are so comfortable with each other, we are having fun, we had some problems with the finances because his card screwed up but we both deal with it calmly and all the things we have been doing is getting fun more and more everyday like there were time we riding on a jeepney (multicab) it was so tight that he couldn't move because he was afraid he might hurt or touch or make other people uncomfortable, and the pedal cab riding from the beach (which he didn't ride with it again because he feel so sorry for the driver, he think he is so heavy) that all things happen and turned out fun well, those are just two of the many experiences we had that he really can't forget and he enjoyed the most.

Request for Evidence (RFE)

Petition for Fiance application status is finally change but its not at its best as we hope to happen, heres what we got.....

Although in a bright side at least we know that our application has already been evaluated and its good to know that the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) is already touching our case.

The evidence that they were asking was my original signature in the one of the forms we submitted, so i mailed it right away for we are anxious about my labor due (i am 5 months prego by now).

Philippines way of Courtship

The traditional Filipino way of courtship is usually indirect, a man who is interested to court a woman has to be discreet and friendly first, his gonna get with the woman's family and friends and should not be aggressive either presumptuous, most man tried a group date first with woman's friends, and followed with the visit in a woman's house to formally introduce himself to her family to let them know his clean intention to court the woman (usually if man go visit in woman's house he will bring something present to the woman like chocolates and flowers). Courting is usually be done inside the woman's house.

Some do it with serenade

Woman are modest and refine, man is lucky enough if the woman he is courting with after several visits, will agree to go out with him for a date but if in that case they always need to have a "chaperon" or somebody to accompany with them in there date, but most of Filipina use to play hard to get to measure his sincerity, he has to work hard to win her heart and even if the woman feel that she is also in love with the man she will never show it to him immediately. Some courtship will last years before the woman accepts man's love...but after the long process of courtship usually not in a very long time the man will do the "pamanhikan" or man together with his parents formally asking woman's hands from her parents and some man also have to render service into the house of the woman and serve her family before people can hear the church bell ringing.

The Modern Ways of Courtship is very different, because of the modernization almost everything changed advance, instant & fast. Woman now a days are being empowered,  tougher, aggressive & getting liberated. so using hi technology gadgets such as laptop, computers, cellphones, etc., no need for a man to exert too much of an effort and a very long time in courting to win woman's heart.

because woman now a days will not hesitate to show there affection, not afraid to take risk so if the guy will court the woman and woman think  he like the man then automatically woman will give it a what they call it a "try if relationship will work" this the time guy should keep his intention clear its very direct no parents and friends involve, yes parents and friends can influence woman's decision but still in the end its the woman will decision will prevail. in the other hand woman will directly say NO to those unfortunate man. but this time most woman don't want to get married right away.. more on career focus so if a man want to marry a woman he should prove during the relationship the he is ready and able to take care of his future family.

My Visa Journey "First Step"

Moving on from girlfriend to fiancee sounds good to me but that means i have to process my visa to be with my soon to be husband since he is what they call "F" as in "Foreigner" which is an american in particular to me.

So, my visa journey started with researching.... and here's what we (my fiance & i) learned from our research:

First Step:
Assembling the I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiance(e) Package

Payment as required by USCIS.
Cover Letter
Form I-129F: Petition for Alien Fiance(e)
Declaration of how you met in person in the last two years.
Original statements (from both the US Citizen and foreign fiance) certifying an intent to marry within 90 days of entering the US on a valid K-1.
Proof of having met in past two years.
Form G-325A filled out by the US Citizen signed and dated).
One passport-type photo of the US Citizen.
Form G-325A filled out by the foreign fiance(e) signed and dated.
One passport-type photo of the foreign fiance(e).
Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen.
Copy of final Divorce Decree(s) or Certificate(s) for the US Citizen and/or foreign fiance(e) if either has been previously married.
Proof of Legal Name Change if either the US Citizen and/or foreign fiance(e) is using a name other than that shown on the relevant documents.
Documentary Proof of Having met in person in the past two years & an ongoing relationship.

Wow! that's a lot of paper works to gather and to think this is just the first step?! we got all the information's from, i am so thankful for this community, the information's that we got are so helpful. so, i guess i will be sharing my step by step visa journey, see you around peps;)

A Race Between Visa and Baby

Finally we are done with our paper works for our I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiance'e) packet which is the first step for my visa application, its been submitted and payed, all we have to do now is to wait for the NOA-1 (Notice of Action-1) from the USCIS informing us that they have received all the documents we submitted, after that we will just wait for the NOA-2 (Notice of Action-2) from the USCIS informing us the the petition is approved or else we will be receiving an RFE (Request for Evidence) in case the papers we submitted is not enough for them to approve the petition, means additional requirements and additional time frame, so we will just wait.. wait... wait... and wait.....

On the other hand, while waiting i notice that its been a week delay of my monthly period and its been a month since my fiance and i had our vacation together so, does it ring your bell?:).... here's the big public announcement "Remember that great Vacation my Richard and i took last month? looks like we brought an un-expected souvenir.. yes i am pregnant!!!:)"...

We are all happy and so excited for the baby, we want to get married before the baby born, the problem is we can't get married in the Philippines because our visa application is for fiance and not for spouse, which means there's going to be a Race of who/what comes first between Visa and Baby.

Expecting to get the NOA2 on October 2011 (cross fingers-5 mos prego by that time) assuming we don't have RFE although, even if the petition will be approved at the expected time, we will still have the medical and embassy interview to go through which will take a month or two (6-7 mos prego), our baby will due on February 2012., time frame is so crucial SO, pray pray pray....

I Hope I can find him here in this siteJ that would be sweet then…

God Bless..

and here it all started:

Man: Aloha? that means both hello and goodbye... right? I do like your profile, and i hope to here more hello's than goodbye's... Can we use my yahoo to email?
